The 2025 Christmas Single Malt Scotch Gift Guide
Selecting a single malt is a thoughtful way to say “Slàinte!” – it could be to a whisky-loving friend, a cherished family member, or a deserving colleague.
It’s not an easy thing to make a choice in, especially if you don’t know the person’s tipple of choice, but we’ve done our best to give a broad range of options in each price bracket.

As a professional Whisky reviewer for several publications over the past 15 years, it’s something there’s definitely experience for, and if you are at all unsure which one to go for, then get the budget option. Diminishing returns exists in abundance when it comes to Scotland’s greatest export – unless you have a favourite of course.

- Check regional labels: For Ben Bracken and supermarket “own” whiskies, always check whether you’re buying Speyside, Highland, or Islay for the desired flavour profile.
- Don’t be scared to ask for help: The best gifts are chosen with expert guidance but we hope our little guide here will give you some solid options to start with.
