When I shut my eyes and envisage my perfect house, it really includes original antique floorboards. In my dreams they are of course entirely clear of clutter and spotlessly clean as well. But in reality, when you have kids about it’s nicer to have something soft for the little ones to run about on. No matter how much I cajole them into wearing cute slippers, Thomas particularly just delighted in running about with bare feet. Rather than carpeting the whole house, the most obvious solution is to put a rug down. Unfortunately, this may not be as simple as it first… View Post

I know that one person’s idea of a perfect outfit may be another’s idea of fashion faux pas. And of course, an outfit may be perfect for one event and not for another. It was immediately evident that aside from being passionate about diet and fitness, she was incredibly knowledgable about health too. She never was unrealistic in what I could achieve but was also not afraid to push me… View Post

It’s the May half term here so that means a long weekend and with Grandma around to babysit – that means gin time! Mike and have been working our way through ‘101 gins to try before you die.’ Whilst it may not be the most noble of lifetime aims, we thought it would be a fun one. We’ve only been going for about 5 months so we’re only about 10 gins in. Thus far, my favourite has to be Silent Pool. It’s got such a beautiful bottle and just tastes divine. I’m totally open to the next 91 being just as… View Post
